Always remember to build bridges between unlikely allies and co-create solutions to uplift our global human family.
— His Holiness Pope Francis' personal guidance to our Founder

The world's most consequential foundations do not merely distribute capital. They convene the right people, at the right moment, around the right ideas — and in doing so, alter the course of history.

The Magnificent Humanity Foundation was established in this Kairos moment to answer Pope Leo XIV's urgent call: to safeguard the human person in the age of artificial intelligence. We build bridges between unlikely allies across faith, technology, business, academia, and the public sector, because the stakes of this moment demand nothing less.

Membership in this Foundation is not open to the public. It is extended only by personal invitation from a current donor: a reflection of our belief that the people around this table must be deeply aligned in values, vision, and a genuine commitment to the common good.

I. Commitments

We advance measurable, time-bound initiatives that promote human flourishing, protect vulnerable people, and ensure artificial intelligence serves the common good. Our members do not gather to have conversations. They gather to catalyze real-world change.

II. Community

We build bridges across sectors to advance Pope Leo XIV's vision for ethical, human-centered AI. The greatest challenges facing humanity will only be solved through authentic collaboration, grounded in truth, dignity, and shared purpose. Those who belong here have been chosen because they are capable of exactly that.

III. Co-Creation

We convene leaders who contribute their time, talent, and treasure to help safeguard human dignity in the age of AI. The spaces we create are rare: where bold partnerships form, courageous ideas are tested, and meaningful action becomes possible.

Safeguarding Human Dignity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

Over the past eight years, our team has convened fourteen global summits in Vatican City, bringing together leaders across faith, business, academia, philanthropy, labor, and government to address humanity’s most pressing challenges.

Today, in strategic partnership with Fondazione Magnifica Humanitas in Vatican City and inspired by Magnifica Humanitas, the landmark encyclical of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, The Magnificent Humanity Foundation exists to help ensure that one of the most powerful technologies in human history is guided by wisdom, moral clarity, and a profound respect for the human person.

Artificial intelligence is transforming the conditions of human life at unprecedented speed. It holds extraordinary potential to expand knowledge, improve health, increase productivity, and unlock new forms of human flourishing. Yet without intentional leadership, its benefits risk becoming concentrated among a few while its burdens fall disproportionately on workers, families, and communities.

This is not about slowing innovation. It is about shaping it responsibly—ensuring that technological progress advances human dignity, meaningful work, shared prosperity, and human flourishing.

Through strategic convenings, measurable Commitments to Impact, educational initiatives, research, and cross-sector collaboration, we are building practical mechanisms to help society navigate the transition to an AI-enabled future. Together with our partners, we are developing new models for economic participation, supporting workforce transitions, advancing AI literacy, and fostering human-centered approaches to innovation.

We believe the defining question of our era is not whether artificial intelligence will transform the world. It will. The question is whether that transformation serves humanity as a whole.

While we are honored to help harness the unparalleled convening power of the Vatican and the moral leadership of Pope Leo XIV, our mission is fundamentally interfaith, inclusive, and global in scope. Building upon the legacy of dialogue and human fraternity advanced by Pope Francis, we welcome people of every faith tradition—and those of no faith tradition at all—to participate in this shared work. We are, ultimately, one global human family.

Those who join The Magnificent Humanity Foundation are not simply making a contribution. They are accepting a rare invitation into a carefully curated community of leaders committed to ensuring that the benefits of artificial intelligence are shared broadly and that no person is left behind during this historic transition.

This circle is intentionally small, extraordinarily purposeful, and united by a common conviction: that the future of artificial intelligence must be shaped not only by what is technologically possible, but by what is morally necessary.

Together, we carry both an extraordinary opportunity and a profound responsibility to ensure that technological progress remains rooted in human dignity, truth, fraternity, hope, and our shared commitment to the common good.
